¶ 1 Leave a comment on paragraph 1 0 During our last class meeting, we started to discuss about data management, trying to define which kind of datas we need to build our project and, also, sketching a first graphical, “concrete” draft of it by pen and paper.

¶ 2 Leave a comment on paragraph 2 0 My duties are related to the Community Management of the project, especially considering the TEI Community. So, during this last week I was focused especially on the TEI Guidelines.

¶ 3 Leave a comment on paragraph 3 0 First of all, I have written and published a post, as required by the team, to describe how end/line will relate to the more general environment of TEI Community. Michael was in charge to open, thanks to professor Rhody, a new space for blogging on Commons: this is the end/line project blog, to be read and consulted to keep track of our progress towards the completion of it. In the post, I tied end/line purposes (and especially the different approach to the employment of TEI Guidelines) to the TEI Community, emphasizing both similarities and differences between ours and projects developed by other universities, research centers, or scholars.

¶ 4 Leave a comment on paragraph 4 0 I have also started to deal directly with TEI Guidelines, in order to acquire the expertise required to the construction of end/line. I have subscribed to TEI Listserv, receiving e-mails with a lot of different informations; I have started to think about a group of beta testers for end/line (and considering the TEI Listserv a possible way to recruit them); I have downloaded Oxygen XML and started to practice with my encoding; I have finally look for some tutorials online about TEI Guidelines.
